Raphinha returns to Premier League in an 80-million euros deal

Barcelona is forced to sell one or some of its players to balance its accounts to fit the laws of financial fair play in La Liga, and Brazilian winger Raphinha has a good market in the English Premier League.

Raphinha left the English Premier League to Barcelona a year ago for 65 million euros. The Brazilian player’s salary is around 12 million euros a year and his sale would lighten the team’s salary block.

Newcastle, who had already been interested in the player in the past, offered a figure close to €80m. An amount with which Barcelona could make a profit of 20 million, but Raphinha has a contract until 2027, so the final word will be for the player himself.

Talks between the two clubs have already begun and the North of England team has already submitted a preliminary bid. Oral offer as Newcastle FC is very interested in carrying out the deal. If the operation goes through, it will be the biggest deal in the club’s history.

Newcastle’s bid was already included in the feasibility plan that FC Barcelona submitted to La Liga a few days ago. The institution headed by Javier Tebas gave the green light to the aforementioned plan, in order to strike a balance between financial fair play.
