It was Mikel Arteta who was responsible for getting all the Arsenal fans back to their senses. After more than a decade without the club being able to compete strongly for the Premier League, Arsenal completed a stellar season to position themselves as title contenders, along with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Nobody expected that Arsenal would be able to instill fear in the team coached by Guardiola and much of the Londoners’ success was made possible by the team’s management and tactical command of Arteta.
The Emirates Stadium was once again shaken by a team led by Martin Odegaard, the great Arsenal star, but the great season they went through will not be enough in the end to win titles. This is why the Arsenal board is already considering potential reinforcements, and is asking to negotiate with Joan Laporta and the Barcelona board.
Arsenal want to continue to grow and be able to be Premier League champions, something they haven’t achieved since 2004. It’s been nearly two decades since the last league Arsenal celebrated, and with the guidance of Mikel Arteta, hope has risen.
But if they are to destroy Guardiola City’s dominance, they will have to get the deals they sign in the summer right. And Barca can lend them a hand, but the English will also have to cooperate.
The team coached by Arteta is interested in Ansu Fati, a player who has not had much luck this season. Xavi Hernandez did not count on him much, and he did not have enough minutes to prove his talent.
Although the winger wants to stay at the Camp Nou, Arsenal want to try and negotiate with Juan Laporta to see if they can take him to London, but Barcelona want to include Martin Odegaard in the process they want to move forward.
Martin Odegaard has undoubtedly been a standout star for Arsenal 2022/23. The Norwegian had no luck during his time at Real Madrid, and changed his mind until he found his ideal place at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal cannot be understood with Mikel Arteta without a personality like Odegaard, a player who is loved by the Barcelona board of directors, despite the fact that there is a lot of competition in the midfield positions in the team.
Arsenal will seek to strengthen their squad to remain as competitive as possible, but they cannot afford to lose their biggest stars, let alone their captain.
However, Juan Laporta also doesn’t want to let Ansu Fati get away on the cheap, even if he doesn’t have much fame this season, and would ask to include the Norwegian in a crazy swap deal.
