Barcelona issues a shocking official statement minutes after the Osasuna match

Barcelona achieved a difficult victory over its guest team, Osasuna, with a clean goal, in the match that was held between the two teams this evening, Tuesday, at Camp Nou, in the 33rd round of the Spanish Premier League championship.

And shortly after Barcelona beat Osasuna (1-0), thanks to Jordi Alba’s goal, Barcelona launched a bombshell and announced, in an official statement, that the current director of football will leave his position at the club on June 30.

Barcelona’s official statement on Matteo Alemany:

“FC Barcelona’s director of football, Mateu Alemany, will leave the club on June 30 to start a new professional project.

Although there is a contract until 2024, Mateu Alemany has conveyed to FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta the intention to start a new path, but guarantees that he will complete the entire summer market with the entity.

And so, even though he will part ways with the club on July 1, thanks to an amicable agreement, Mateu Alemany has promised to close all first-team operations this summer, even if there are some that will be made at the last minute of the last day on the market.

The incorporation of Mateu Alemany into the structure of the first team, when Juan Laporta won the last election, allowed FC Barcelona to close operations that seemed impossible and provide the coach with a competitive squad, within the still ongoing economic problems.

President Laporta accepted this request due to Mateu’s commitment to leading the summer market until the very last operation, and to enable him to be consulted when the club requests it.

FC Barcelona will soon inform about the changes in the structure of the CEO of football as soon as Matteo Alemany’s farewell is announced.
