Jorge Mendes, Ansu Fati’s agent, is trying to reassure the Barcelona board by confirming that this summer he will make an offer of 70 million for the Spanish-Guinean player.
Ansu Fati did not enter Xavi Hernandez’s plans and is on the club’s transfer list for the next season. They want him out, and given the need for transfer money, his departure could be an important boost to the club’s coffers.
And so, Barcelona is listening to offers coming up for Ansu Fati, and his Portuguese agent, Jorge Mendes, is trying to bring calm to Barcelona by ensuring that a club that will put €70m on the table will emerge when the time comes. And he specified that this club would be from the English Premier League.
There are two unknowns in the case: The first is the player’s willingness to continue. The second is whether Mendes will actually arrive with an offer of that amount which, by the way, will satisfy the needs of Barcelona.
Ansu Fati is a La Masia boy, so there is no loss the club wants to make up for, so all income will be net directly into the coffers.
